Christian Pastoral Counseling

About Us

The counseling provided by the Cathedral of Christ the King offers mental and spiritual healing to the lost, the lonely, and the hurting by providing insight into how God made us: “…formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13). We provide prayerful, practical, and scriptural advice on how to get back into alignment with His plan for your life so you can live life to the fullest.

Secular counseling is humanistic and uses a medical model and/or psychological assessments.” We use the Christian Counseling Arno Profile System (APS) assessments along with a therapeutic model that focuses on your temperament, prayer, and scripture to assist with your healing.

Our Approach

Our approach is based on prayer, scripture, and the Arno Profile System (APS), which gives us a view of your temperament and a quick start in working on the areas of your life that are causing pain and stress.

Our difference is that we focus on your goals and walk with God to relieve the stressors in your life. Life today is complicated, and the world around us seems to be changing quicker than we can deal with.

Teens and children are bombarded with mixed messages about who they are, what they should look like, and what they should do. We work with the parents to help them focus on what God wants them to be and do.

Even if you are not a Christian, we are here to lend a helping hand and walk with you through life’s curveballs and mud pies.

Sometimes, all we need is someone to walk with us through life for a little while.

We Specialize In:

• Individual, couples, youth, and children counseling

• Pre-marital and marriage counseling

• Trauma, loss, and PTSD counseling

• Career counseling
